NOVA Strong #Get Active Challenge

Join the NOVA Strong #Get Active Challenge! The Recreation, Wellness and Fun Committee is excited to announce the return of our NOVA Strong Challenges for faculty and staff.  

The first NOVA Strong event for the year will be our #Get Active Challenge. It is a two-week challenge to help motivate you to get active and engage with our NOVA community.

The health benefits of staying physically active are well documented and we are here to inspire you. In the age of social media, virtual learning and remote work, it is very easy to fall into a sedentary lifestyle. This challenge is to encourage you to get active within and outside of our NOVA community.  

If you make a conscious effort to get active, your health can improve tremendously. Some simple things you can do include: Walking your dog, going to the gym, taking the stairs, cleaning, parking farther away, exercising while watching TV or joining NOVA Rec on Canvas. This challenge is to simply encourage you to get active.  

With all the ways to get active in the world, we would like for you to join this challenge and share with our NOVA community the things you do to get physically active.
