ORPHE Open Enrollment Begins Oct. 1

Open enrollment for participants in the Optional Retirement Plan for Higher Education (ORPHE) begins Oct. 1 and ends Oct. 31. Participants who wish to change investment providers can compare and select their provider in myVRS.

Active ORPHE participants have a choice of two providers – DCP (VRS investment options record-kept by MissionSquare Retirement) and TIAA.  Employees considering changing providers are strongly encouraged to use the ORPHE Provider Options chart to review each provider’s fees, services and plan features.  

Contributions to new providers elected during open enrollment begin with the first pay period in January.

Important Note: ORP participants may elect to change providers only.  Plan changes from the ORP to VRS are not allowed.
