Important: New Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Required to Access myNOVA
VCCS has launched a new portal that replaces the current myNOVA portal. As part of this implementation, VCCS is now requiring Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for all users accessing the system.
Faculty and staff must set up and use MFA to access myNOVA. We recommend you set up MFA as soon as possible to avoid any issues with accessing Canvas, SIS and other critical myNOVA tools. The deadline for MFA enrollment is Friday, November 5.
There are two methods for MFA using your mobile device: Push Notification and Text Notification.
- Push notification: Use the RapidIdentity app for authentication. Click here for instructions.
- Text notification: Use text messaging for authentication. Click here for instructions.
Note: Before following these instructions, make sure your mobile device is the preferred device in SIS.
If you are successful in setting up MFA but fail authentication twice, please wait 15-20 minutes before you reattempt or risk account lockout.
If you require additional assistance, please contact the IT Help Desk at 703-426-4141 or ithelpdesk@nvcc.edu.
