NOVA Online Teaching Webinar, Nov. 5
As part of ongoing support for faculty who are teaching hybrid and online courses at NOVA, NOVA Online has been offering a series of college-wide webinars shared by our talented faculty colleagues to promote best practices each semester. The upcoming webinar will be held on Friday, November 5 from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. Professor Heather Flor from Loudoun Campus will present Small Changes, Big Impact: Teaching Through Connections and Care to Support Academic Success in Hybrid and Online Courses. Building connections with students is especially important for instructors in hybrid and online courses where personal interaction is largely or entirely digital. Through implementation of strategies known as Four Connections, research has found great impact on students. Join us to learn practical ideas to create small changes and make big impact on students’ learning engagement, course completion, and academic success in hybrid and online courses.
