It’s Mid-Season for the Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign (CVC) Already!

November 23, 2021 / HR News/Training

The CVC Campaign is in full swing!  As a reminder, this is the one statewide activity each year when our entire college community can work as a team to support a wide variety of organizations that improve the quality of life for people in the communities where we live and work.  Without this support, these organizations will not have the resources to continue at the same level or meet the challenges of increased needs.

In the past, NOVA has been such gracious givers and I am again reaching out to request your consideration for participation in this year’s campaign.  Whether you are giving for the first time or are increasing last year’s contribution, your gift helps strengthen our communities.  One hundred percent of your designated gift goes to the charities you choose from over 1,000 organizations.

While there are countless charitable options available to you, please also consider NOVA’s  Educational Foundation, which accepts tax-deductible donations directly on behalf of NOVA throughout the year.  The NOVA Foundation is the only non-profit organization dedicated to securing private resources to support Northern Virginia Community College.  Funds raised by the Foundation support scholarships and emergency grants for NOVA students as well as programs for faculty and staff through means that are simply not possible with state funds alone. Today’s economic realities make the Foundation’s work securing private donations more important than ever.  Please visit:  https://giving.nvcc.edu/  to learn more.  The CVC designation number for the Foundation is 3066.

Whether you use payroll deduction or make an outright gift, all contributions make a difference.  The campaign ends on December 31, 2021 so there is still time to turn in your CVC pledge. Please join the worldwide movement by visiting https://www.cvcgives.org/ and donate electronically to your favorite charity today!

Many thanks NOVA family, for your continued support!
