Loudoun’s Sally Wrenn to Retire After 37 Years of Service

November 23, 2021 / Faculty/Staff Highlights

It is impossible to enter a building on the Loudoun Campus that does not have Sally Wrenn’s influence etched in the walls. Sally began her career at NOVA on August 1st, 1984 as the horticulturist on staff, and ‘cultivated’ that program for more than 25 years before transitioning into the Director of Campus Operations role.

The additions and renovations to the Science (LS) Building, the redesign and reconstruction of the greenhouse, improvements to Waddell (LW), and the major Learning Commons (LC), Higher Education Center (HEC), and Reynolds (LR) construction projects are her Loudoun legacy- In addition, of course, to being a friend, mentor and wonderful colleague for over three decades.

Sally and her husband of 36 years, Doug, will retire simultaneously and spend time working on home improvement projects, visiting with their beloved family, friends, and godchildren.

Sally’s last day on Loudoun Campus is Tuesday, November 23rd. We’ll miss you, Sally. Enjoy a well-deserved early(ish) retirement!
