NOVA SRIC Wins 2nd Place in GMU Alpha Challenge
The NOVA SRIC (Student Run Investment Club) won 2nd place in the George Mason University Alpha Challenge (Beta Tier) earlier this month. Student leaders in the club staved off elimination in early rounds to end up in the final competition. Their stock pitch and presentation resulted in their second place finish and a $500 cash prize. The Beta Tier is intended for all students with limited to no finance experience. The requirements for this tier focus on the qualitative aspects of pitching a stock. NOVA students that are interested in learning more about the stock market and participating in club events and activities can send an email to faculty club advisor, Tom Marsh (tmarsh@nvcc.edu) and sricnvcc@gmail.com.
