Call for Campus Transfer for Full-Time Teaching Faculty

In the next few months, NOVA will be recruiting a number of full-time teaching faculty positions on multiple campuses. In accordance with the Voluntary Inter-Campus Faculty Transfer Policy (#412), eligible full-time teaching faculty may submit their interest to transfer to a vacant position on another campus. The voluntary inter-campus transfer does not affect a faculty member’s salary, rank or appointment status.

Eligibility requirements are as follows:

• Current teaching discipline must be the discipline that is vacant on the other campus.
• Must have completed probationary year.
• Must have received a ‘Meets Expectations’ on the most recent evaluation.

Because multiple positions will be available, we are streamlining the process to account for the volume of available positions. If you are interested in moving to another campus, please email facultytransfer@nvcc.edu by Friday, December 3, 2021 with the following:

• Name
• Discipline that you currently teach
• Campus you would like to transfer to
• A brief statement of interest (maximum length is one page) explaining the strengths you offer and why you wish to transfer.
• Copies of student evaluations from the most recent academic year and a copy of the most recent performance evaluation.
• A copy of the most recent APPDO assessment.

If a discipline and campus matching your interest becomes available, Human Resources will verify your eligibility and notify you accordingly. Please note that the expected date of transfer will be on or about August 16, 2022.
