Nighthawk Proud? Say It Nighthawk Loud!

December 14, 2021 / Uncategorized

You have heard time and again about the daunting obstacles that so many NOVA students face in their quest for the gold—that hard-earned degree that will open doors for them now and into the future. Some will transfer to a four-year college or university and go on to earn a bachelor’s, master’s or even a doctoral degree. Some will take their degree and enter the workforce, in a job they hardly dreamed of before.

When they petitioned for graduation from NOVA, each student completed a survey telling of their goals for the future and providing invaluable advice for those students coming behind them. Please enjoy this little round-up of from our graduating Nighthawks:

THAIS
I am an International Student bringing home a United States College Diploma! My family is so proud of me! And, of course, I want to enjoy my time off from college!!

NOVA has excellent professors! No regrets for choosing NOVA as my college from Brazil.

Just enjoy the moment! Don’t give up! Time flies!

FIORELLA
With plans to transfer to George Mason University, Fiorella says,

I came far away from home to accomplish my goal. I made it!!!!

Only the sky is the limit!

LESLY
She is proud of succeeding in her Math classes.

I would love to travel to Italy and preferably study a semester there.

Participate in all the school events possible. You will meet the best people.

ADELINA
Adelina plans to transfer to Liberty University.

There are a lot of things I am proud of for accomplishing, making the dean’s list in my first year, becoming more involved with student life, joining Every Nation Campus Ministry (ENC) and growing with those whom I met through ENC.

Be yourself and get involved with student activities, you will meet some amazing people who will help you learn and grow.

JOSHUA
He says his future goal is to “survive.” (We endorse that goal as a minimum benchmark).

He is proud of himself that he “did not drop out.” (As are we!)

Work in advance and force good studying habits

NICOLE
I do plan to transfer to George Mason University sometime in the Fall of 2022, after I take my extra classes at Northern Virginia Community College

I am proud to accomplish my certificate in Administration of Justice

Be the best you can during your term at Northern Virginia Community College.
