MEC Seeks Interim Dean of Nursing. Express Interest by Dec. 22

NOVA is seeking an Interim Dean of Nursing to serve the Medical Education Campus, starting Jan. 3, 2022.

The interim dean must hold at least a Master’s degree or above in Nursing from a regionally-accredited institution and a current Virginia License (or eligibility to obtain a license). In addition, the interim dean must have at least three years of progressive administrative responsibility, including responsibility for program oversight, personnel supervision and budget management.

For the period of this appointment, the interim dean must commit to working at the Medical Education Campus and to maintaining an active and visible presence throughout the campus and community. The interim dean will serve as a member of the Academic Deans Council with all associated responsibilities and will report to the Medical Education Campus provost. Acting pay, in accordance with VCCS policy, will be provided for the duration of this appointment.

NOVA employees who meet these qualifications, understand the requirements and wish to be considered for the role of interim Dean of Nursing should submit a one-page letter of interest to Cynthia Williams (Cywiliams@nvcc.edu) in the MEC Provost’s Office no later than Wednesday, December 22 at 5 p.m. The interim dean will be selected and appointed by the Medical Education Campus provost from the pool of qualified individuals expressing interest.
