Jan. 18-21:  NOVA President Participated in First Week of DoE Negotiated Rulemaking Committee
Earlier this month, NOVA President Anne M. Kress was selected by the U.S. Department of Education to represent all community colleges on the Institutional and Programmatic Eligibility Committee for negotiated rulemaking to review regulations related to student financial assistance. The first negotiated rulemaking session kicked off this week with sessions scheduled for Tuesday through today.

Throughout the spring, the committee will deliberate to prepare proposed federal regulations on institutional and programmatic eligibility subject to oversight by the U.S. Department of Education in accordance with Section 492 of Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965.
