January 27, 2022 / Our Nighthawks

The Summer 2022 Undergraduate Internship application at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of Asian Art (NMOAA) is open in Career Connection!

This is a paid internship open to all students in a variety of programs and pathways. Developed in partnership with Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) and designed for students with little to no museum experience, the program introduces interns to museum work in general as they concentrate on one assigned department compatible with their interests or career goals.

The museum’s many departments offer a wide range of learning opportunities. Interns may be placed in Advancement (Development and Membership), Collections Management (Archives, Collections Management, Imaging and Photographic Services), Conservation and Scientific Research, Curatorial (Curatorial, Library, Scholarly Programs and Publications), or Operations and External Affairs (Design, Production, and Publications; Engagement and Visitor Experience; Exhibition Planning; Finance and Administration; Marketing and Communications; Public Programs; Special Events).
