Gain New Skills to Teach Online

The U.S. Department of Education has implemented new regulations on distance (online) education that went into effect July 1, 2021. One of the key elements to the new regulations is “regular and substantive interaction” (RSI) between students and instructors. Facilitating online discussions and providing feedback on students’ coursework are two essential forms of substantive interaction. To help faculty and support NOVA’s compliance with this federal requirement, NOVA Online will offer the following two workshops this spring:

Effectively Facilitating Online Discussions, Feb. 21 – 27
Providing Quality Feedback for Online Learners, April 4 – 10
