NOVA Offering Free At-Home COVID Tests, KN95 Masks for Employees
As you know, NOVA no longer requires employees to show proof of vaccination or undergo weekly COVID-19 testing in accordance with Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s Executive Directive Number Two and guidance from the VCCS. As a result, the college currently has a limited supply of at-home rapid tests available for employees who want them. Now NOVA employees can pick up one free rapid COVID test per week at any campus business office location. Quantities are limited, and tests will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Employees will need to present a valid Faculty/Staff identification to pick up a test.
Need more? You can also order up to four free COVID tests offered by the government. Check out COVIDtests.gov – Free at-home COVID-19 tests for details.
In addition, please remember that employees working on campus have the opportunity to pick up one KN95 mask each week from their campus Parking Office. And, as has been our practice for the past year, all individuals on campus—including students and visitors—will still have access to free multi-layer face coverings.
These steps complement our existing strategies of required face coverings, enhanced cleaning, improved ventilation, health information campaigns and NOVA’s Contagious Diseases Policy. NOVA also continues to offer a robust schedule of remote and online courses for students seeking these modalities and to provide expanded virtual services to support both remote and on-campus students.
