Design Challenge – Now Open!
Virtual submissions are being accepted for our Spring 2022 Design Challenge!  Open to college, high school, and middle school students with cash prizes for the top three finalists.  The Challenge this Spring is to design or refine a product to help improve your school life.  An Educator Guide provides ideas on how to incorporate the challenge into your classes.  Please share this unique opportunity with our NOVA students.  Sponsored by BAE Systems, Micron, and the Amtek Company.

NOVA Makers
This special program allows members to use the Fab Lab to work on personal projects.  Membership is free to NOVA Faculty/Staff/Students and equipment training and safety orientations are provided.

Makerspace Machine Trainings
These special machine trainings are open to Faculty & Staff only and provide an opportunity to learn about technology that can be used:

  • in your pedagogy (class projects or visits).
  • for personal use in our NOVA Makers program.
  • for a greater understanding of current fabrication and manufacturing processes.

Participants can register for one or more sessions.  Machines include the UV flatbed printer, large format printer, CNC metal mill, and plastic thermoforming center.  More details at http://fablab.novastem.us/MachineTraining.
