Pr. William Co. to Offer Substitute Teacher Info Session, Feb. 7
If you know students interested in making inroads into the K-12 teaching profession, alert them to a wonderful opportunity to serve our community schools and to get some direct in-classroom experience through substitute teaching! On Monday, Feb. 7, NOVA’s Teacher Education Program will host a substitute training workshop with Prince William County Schools. Our K-12 partners desperately need substitute teachers and temporary teacher assistants.
All college students may substitute as instructional assistants. Once students successfully complete 48 college credits, they may substitute for licensed classroom teachers.
- Instructional Assistant Substitutes $15.55/hr
- Classroom Teacher Substitutes $17.81/hr
Substitute teaching offers our students flexible schedules, good pay and an opportunity to develop their professional dispositions and skills.
Let’s encourage our Nighthawks to support our local school districts by substitute teaching!
