Today: Financial Stability and Advocacy ‘What Should I Do?’ Sessions, Feb. 11
Ever had a student inform you that they cannot afford to buy their textbooks? Or how about a student who says that they haven’t eaten all day because they don’t have money to purchase food? What about a student informing you that it’s hard to make it to every class because they don’t have reliable transportation, or that they’re not able to log on for class because they don’t have a laptop or wi-fi? These are only a few of the many challenges some of our students face each day as they work to achieve their academic goals.
With many students having needs that are beyond their academics, the Financial Stability and Advocacy Center provides many services and resources to assist students with obstacles that can have a direct impact when it comes to their classroom success.
During February, the Financial Stability and Advocacy Center will host virtual one-hour “What Should I Do?” sessions where you can find out more and ask questions. If you would like to learn more about NOVA’s Financial Stability and Advocacy Center and the resources that are available for students who have a need, please attend one of the weekly ZOOM sessions below to learn more.
