A Recap of the President’s Activities, Week of Feb. 14
Below are a few of the events and activities that President Kress participated in this week.
Feb. 15: NASFAA Leadership Conference panelist
This session concentrated on the concepts of succession planning and will ensure the essentials of how to build a plan are included. This features both general guidelines to get started and real operational steps to make this important process successful at specific institutions. There were discussions on making hiring a consideration and identifying an institutional successor.
Feb. 14-18: Negotiated Rulemaking
Dr. Kress participated in a virtual session of the Negotiated Rulemaking Committee to prepare proposed federal regulations on institutional and programmatic eligibility subject to oversight by the U.S. Department of Education. The mission and goal of the Negotiated Rulemaking Committee is to develop proposed student financial assistance regulations per Section 492 of the Higher Education Act of 1965.
