NOVA’s Green Festival (Update), April 19, 20
NOVA’s 2022 Green Festival is scheduled for April 19, 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., and April 20, 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Register here. The theme for this year’s event is “The Greening of No.Va. – What’s happening in the Northern Virginia region?”
The purpose of the festival is to increase both the college and local community awareness of regional, national and global environmental issues and provide information regarding ways that individuals can help preserve the environment. While our target audience is high school and college students, the event is free and open to the public.
The festival will be a combination of a film and virtual presentations (see speaker list here!). Ideally, it will help the audience to recognize ways they can conserve resources, promote change, and make a difference as individuals.
This year’s event features a virtual viewing of the film Wasted! The Story of Food Waste, on April 19th, and virtual presentations on April 20th. Presentation topics will cover how the Northern Virginia region (NoVA) is moving toward a greener future in the areas of transportation, food production, and individual actions!
