NOVA Makers 
This special program allows members to use the Fab Lab to work on personal projects.  Membership is free to NOVA Faculty/Staff/Students and equipment training and safety orientations are provided.  

  • Monday  OPEN LAB | 4 p.m. until 9 p.m.
  • Tuesday  SAFETY & ORIENTATION | 6 p.m. until 7 p.m.   *For new members!
  • Tuesday  MACHINE CERTIFICATION – 3D Printers | 7:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. 
  • Thursday  OPEN LAB | 4 p.m. until 9 p.m.
  • Friday OPEN LAB | 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
  • Friday SAFETY & ORIENTATION | 1 p.m. until 2 p.m.   *For new members!
  • Friday  MACHINE CERTIFICATION – Large Format Printer | 2:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Design Challenge – Now Open! 
Virtual submissions are being accepted for our Spring 2022 Design Challenge!  Open to college, high school, and middle school students with cash prizes for the top three finalists.  An Educator Guide provides ideas on how to incorporate the challenge into your classes.  Please share this unique opportunity with our NOVA students.  Sponsored by BAE Systems, Micron, and the Amtek Company.  

Friday Night Robotics 
LAST ONE FOR THE SEASON! Open to middle and high school VEX VRC teams from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. who want to come out to scrimmage and work on their robots.  Game field and components will be provided. Register at fablab.novastem.us/FridayNightRobotics.

 

UPCOMING ACTIVITIES 

3D Printing & Digital Design 
This series is for beginners looking to explore digital design and physical prototyping through 3D Printing. 

Junior Maker Club 
The Winter 2022 club is open to 4th – 8th graders that want to tinker and experience a variety of topics including 3D printing, computer modeling, wind and solar power, and applications of electricity.  

Summer 2022 STEM Camps  
The NOVA SySTEMic Summer Camp registration is now open!  Camp options include Fabrication, Coding, Robotics, Rocketry, Cybersecurity, and more. Camps will be in-person alongside a limited selection of virtual camps.  Open to rising 4th – 12th graders. More info at https://www.nvcc.edu/systemic/fablab.html#panel9
