NOVA & Friends Band Concert, Mar. 3

On Thursday, March 3, the NOVA Alexandria Band will perform in a joint concert with music faculty from Radford University and the Alexandria City High School Wind Ensemble (formerly known as T.C. Williams H.S.) under the direction of Timothy Grant. Dr. Dennis Edelbrock will be joining the NOVA band as trumpet soloist on a performance of the Harry James trumpet concerto. Radford University faculty who will be performing are Matthew Cataldi on piano, Robert Trent on guitar, Wayne Gallops on piano and Dayl Burnett on trombone. The bands will be playing music by Clifton Williams, Julie Giroux, Brian Balmages, Alex Shapiro, Steven Bryant, Michael Giacchino, E.E. Bagley, and J.P. Sousa.  

• March 3, 7:30 p.m. until – 9:15 p.m.
• Admission and parking: FREE  (donations will be accepted)
• Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center, 4915 East Campus Drive, Alexandria, VA 22311 
• Audience members will be required to wear masks and socially distance.
