NOVA-AL Vax Clinic Offering COVID Vaccine, Booster Until June 30

The Alexandria Health Department (AHD) and its vaccinating partner Red Sea Homecare agency (RSHA) are currently offering open vaccine scheduling until Thursday, June 30. NOVA is strongly encouraging everyone who is able to get vaccinated to do so. Schedule your appointment today. 

Red Sea Homecare agency is now able to administer booster shots for all manufacturers as well (see information below). Visit alexandriava.gov/vaccines to check booster availability on a day-to-day basis.

Location/Dates/Times:

• NOVA Alexandria Campus, Fine Arts Building (AFA), Room AFA–234 (Gymnasium) (See Campus Map)
• Monday – Friday, 4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. (**New hours as of Feb. 7)
• Walk-ins Welcome Between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.
• Saturdays – NO VACCINATIONS
• Note:  If the college is officially closed for any reason as a result of inclement weather, etc., the clinic will be cancelled.

Red Sea Booster Shots:
The CDC recommendation is now official and suggests booster shots for adults who have received a complete series (any manufacturer) at least 6 months ago, and who meet the following criteria:

• people aged 65 years and older residents (should receive a booster)
• people aged 18 years and older in long-term care settings people aged 50–64 years with underlying medical conditions (should receive a booster)
• people aged 18–49 years with underlying medical conditions (may receive a booster)
• people aged 18–64 years at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of occupational or institutional setting (may receive a booster), including: 
• First responders (healthcare workers, firefighters, police, congregate care staff)
• Education staff (teachers, support staff, daycare workers)
• Food and agriculture workers
• Manufacturing workers
• Corrections workers
• S. Postal Service workers
• Public transit workers
• Grocery store workers

The Booster is only available to individuals who have received a complete series of Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson. 

Students NOVA Voucher:
Students may be eligible for a $250 NOVA voucher.  For more information inquire at the NOVA Alexandria Campus – Parking Office (Bisdorf Building || Room AA-189).
