History Reading Group to Study NOVA’s Sabrina Ricks’ Bullied at Work, March 25

March 16, 2022 / Events

For its next book, the History Reading Group will be discussing Bullied at Work by NOVA’s very own Dr. Sabrina Ricks. Dr. Ricks is an adjunct instructor of business at NOVA, and Bullied at Work chronicles her own experiences with workplace inequities. We will meet on Friday, March 25, at 10 a.m.

The History Reading Group is focused on reading recent works by Black women–especially works of history, focused on slavery, race and social justice–in an effort to inform our classroom teaching and other DEI efforts across the College. All faculty and staff are welcome to join, but we ask that you acquire the book and read it prior to the meeting. The book can be purchased here. A $10 discount is available by entering the code SPRING22 when you place your order.

For more information about the History Reading Group, contact Professor Nathaniel Green.
