Save the Date: VCCA Annual Conference, Oct. 5-7, Va. Beach

March 17, 2022 / Faculty/Staff Highlights

The Virginia Community Colleges Association (VCCA) is the longest serving professional development venue in the VCCS 50+ year history and it provides many excellent opportunities for networking and new learning experiences. You can gather with others in your field, who believe in the mission of the community colleges in Virginia, and who seek to gain new perspectives in their professional development.

For a $25 membership fee a VCCA member will have the opportunity to participate in professional growth and development activities offered at the annual conference as well as at regional workshops offered through the seven commissions. The seven commissions are Black Concerns, Diversity & Inclusion, Faculty & Instructional Affairs, Learning Resources, Public Relations & Publications, Student Services and Support Staff. Along with the annual conference, individual commission activities and networking, VCCA showcases outstanding faculty, staff, and media annually.

It is time for your 2022 VCCA Membership Dues to be paid. For faculty and staff, dues are $25. If you choose, you can go through your professional development funding process and have them paid by the college, if your funding allows. Alternatively, you can self-pay your dues electronically on the website: https://virginia-community-college-association.square.site/. If you are not a member, I ask that you consider joining and of course, we are counting on previous members to renew their membership.

It’s a wonderful organization with many professional development benefits and networking opportunities. To learn more about the VCCA, visit our website at www.vccaedu.org and click on the various tabs to:
