Second DEI inNOVAtion Workshop on Authentic Learning, March 18

March 17, 2022 / Events

Thanks to the Office of DEI and the NOVA Foundation, a four-part workshop series for faculty has launched this year! In the first one-hour workshop, we were joined by faculty from the NOVA community for interactive activities, while many others viewed the recording as they were unable to attend the live session.

NOVA Online, in collaboration with the Center for Global Education and the Office of International Education and Sponsored Programs (OIESP), will offer the second workshop in the series, Learning in a Real-World Context: Creating Authentic Learning Experiences for All Students. This workshop will be held on Friday, March 18 from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. via Zoom.

Through promoting inclusive learning environments and authentic learning, we aim to help faculty improve students’ learning experiences and future employability skills. A free book about culturally responsive teaching will be available for 60 faculty attending all four workshops. You can check out more information about the workshop and presenter here. For Zoom access, register to attend the workshop.
