Workshop: Using Virtual Worlds to Enhance Your Course
Are you looking for alternative ways to engage your students? Virtual worlds provide an immersive 3D environment that many instructors in higher education are using with their students as an exciting teaching tool. NOVA has a region in a virtual world called Second Life that has over 20 educational activities to enhance student learning.
Join us on Wednesday, March 30, from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. for Using Virtual Worlds to Enhance Your Course. This virtual workshop will explain the many ways instructors have used Second Life with their students and give you some ideas of how you can incorporate this virtual platform into your courses.
NOVA’s Second Life region currently has activities for biology, geology, language, healthcare, art and more! Help is available via tutorials, handouts and videos as well as a thriving virtual education community.
Please register in advance. If you can’t join for the live session, feel free to register and you will receive a link to the recording after the session.
