Last Day to Vote for Your Forum Council Rep

March 28, 2022 / General NOVA News

Voting for the Forum Council General Election closes today, March 28 at 5 p.m.

This year, candidates were asked to submit brief statements expressing why they are interested in participating in shared governance at NOVA. Before casting your ballot, take a moment to read their responses. Click Meet the Candidates to learn more.

To cast your ballot, enter your NOVA email address at this link. You will be directed to the appropriate ballot based on your employment classification (e.g., teaching faculty, classified staff, administrator) and your primary work location (a campus or college staff). If you have difficulty accessing the ballot, please email Laura Siko, chair, elections & credentials committee.

Please note that not all campuses and job classifications have vacancies for 2022. This includes Loudoun (Administrative Faculty) and Manassas (Administrative Faculty).

In other areas, there are vacancies, but no nominations were submitted. We will run a special election in the fall semester to fill these roles. Please consider running! Categories with no nominees include: Alexandria (Classified, Administrative Faculty, Adjunct Faculty); Loudoun (Adjunct Faculty).

The Elections and Credentials Committee would like to recognize the difficult and exemplary work of Dr. Diana Bharucha, Dr. Anita Dubey, and Alamelu Vairavan in the Office of Strategic Insights. They have made significant improvements in the security of the General Election ballot ensuring a fair election.
