Save the Date: Engineering and Applied Technologies Virtual Employer Lobby, April 12

April 6, 2022 / Our Nighthawks

Save the date for our last Virtual Employer Lobby of the spring semester! Our Virtual Employer Lobbies (VELs) connect NOVA students and alumni with employer representatives to network and learn about career opportunities. Our last Virtual Employer Lobby for the semester is on April 12 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. The virtual lobby takes place through a Zoom meeting set up by Employer and Career Services, where each participating organization hosts their own breakout room. Employer representatives may provide information about career paths in their industry or organization and/or specific openings for jobs and internships.

This VEL will focus on NOVA’s Engineering and Applied Technologies programs and feature employers with opportunities related to engineering technology, Data Center Operations, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Architecture, and more

Participating employers include:

  • Amazon Web Services
  • BMW North America
  • Cushman and Wakefield
  • Dewberry
  • Edge
  • Goodyear
  • Koydol Inc.
  • Micron Technology
  • Ourisman Automotive Group
  • Quick Servant Company
  • Rinker Design Associates
  • Road Runner Wrecker Service Inc.
  • Titan Mechanical Inc.
  • United Rentals

The VEL is designed to be more casual than a career fair. All meetings are in a group setting, and students may drop into the lobby as their schedules allow. Students are encouraged to visit multiple breakout rooms throughout the event and turn their video cameras on for more personalized interactions. Students can register through Career Connection to receive the Zoom link prior to the event.
