Workforce’s JoAnna Collins Named as ACTE 2022 NextLevel Postsecondary CTE Leadership Fellow
JoAnna Collins, nurse’s aide program instructor with NOVA Workforce, has been named by ACTE (the Association for Career and Technical Education) as a fellow for the 2022 NextLevel Postsecondary CTE Leadership Program. Collins was among 17 fellows selected for the 2022-2023 cohort. The NextLevel Fellowship provides professional and career growth opportunities to the next generation of leaders in postsecondary CTE programs.
Collins has over 29 years experience in the healthcare field starting in pre-hospital emergency services as an EMT and progressing through her education as an LPN, ADN, BSN and recently earning a Masters in Education with a concentration in Leadership. As a certified nurse’s aide instructor, she holds a bachelor’s in nursing from James Madison University and a master’s in education with a concentration on leadership from Concordia University-Nebraska. She currently teaches classes at Woodbridge Campus-WRC, Reston Center and Alexandria Campus.
