TimelyCare Free Mental Health, Telehealth Services Available for Students

April 14, 2022 / Our Nighthawks

At the beginning of the spring 2022 semester, NOVA introduced TimelyCare, a new, free telehealth program for students! The service provides access to virtual mental health services, 24/7 from anywhere in the United States. Services are available by phone or video appointment via an app or web. Available services include TalkNow: 24/7, giving students on-demand video access to a mental health professional for in-the-moment support. Students will also be able to schedule counseling sessions with a licensed professional; take advantage of health coaching, including healthier lifestyle support and to participate in group sessions for weekly guided meditation, yoga and special topics.

To better assist students in putting their mental health needs first, here are some key points to remember when working with students. A VCCS student email is required for registration. To learn more and sign up, students can access the VCCS TimelyCare homepage www.timelycare.com/vccs, or through the Office of Wellness and Mental Health’s telehealth page https://www.nvcc.edu/wellness/telehealth-services.html.  Dual enrolled students are not eligible to access this service and students under the age of 18 require parental permission to access telehealth services.

Please contact the Office of Wellness and Mental Health at wellness@nvcc.edu with any questions.
