NOVA Foodways: Global Cuisine, Third Spaces and Community
Tuesday, April 26, 2 p.m. until 3 p.m.

The Alexandria DEI Committee kicks off its NOVA Foodways: Global Cuisine, Third Spaces and Community project by hosting Richard Morris, co-executive director of farm and foodroots at Cultivate Charlottesville.

Cultivate Charlottesville engages youth and community in building an equitable, sustainable food system through garden-based experiential learning, growing and sharing healthy food, amplifying community leaders, and advocating for food justice.

NOVA Foodways will present a pop-up exhibit exploring multicultural foodways and identity on Alexandria’s campus in October 2022.

Culture Fest: A Multicultural Celebration
Thursday, April 28, 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The Alexandria Campus is celebrating Diversity Month with Culture Fest! Students, faculty and staff have the opportunity to join in student showcases, interactive experiences, food, giveaways, a scavenger hunt and a special performance from the Grammy-nominated group, Jabali Afrika.
