New Summer Workshop: Applying the Quality Matters Rubric

April 29, 2022 / Tech Notes & Training

Quality Matters (QM) is a non-profit global organization leading quality assurance in online and innovative digital teaching and learning environments. The QM Rubric is a national quality standard for online and hybrid course design with a focus on quality course design and continuous improvement. This quality standard is used by NOVA and all VCCS colleges. To help faculty learn more about this national standard, NOVA Online is going to offer Applying the QM Rubric June 7 through 21. It is QM’s flagship workshop on the QM Rubric and its use in designing and reviewing online courses. This workshop is free for full- or part-time NOVA faculty through NOVA Online, and it is delivered online asynchronously in Canvas so that faculty can learn anywhere, anytime to complete assignments by the due dates. Upon successful completion of the online workshop, participants will receive a certificate from Quality Matters enhancing their professional knowledge and background in this national standard.

You can register for the workshop at GSMU (https://nvcc.gosignmeup.com/) through the Online Teaching link by May 25. For questions or more information, please contact Hong Wang at hwang@nvcc.edu.
