NOVA to Celebrate Spring Commencement, May 15
On Sunday, May 15, NOVA will hold its 56th commencement ceremony to recognize our students’ hard work and achievement. Ms. Arfa Syed, an alumna who personifies NOVA’s commencement theme “Go Boldly” will serve as the 2022 spring commencement speaker.
“My dream to obtain higher education wouldn’t have been possible without NOVA as my launchpad,” said Syed, who leads growth and strategy for the award-winning cybersecurity firm Sure Secure Solutions. “In fact, I owe much of my success to embracing the ‘Boldly NOVA’ brand, which embodies overcoming substantial barriers and embracing non-traditional backgrounds to carve out a path for success. I am thrilled to be this year’s commencement speaker, and I congratulate my fellow Nighthawks on their graduation as they emerge into an exciting new chapter of their life.”
NOVA’s Spring Commencement will be held Sunday, May 15 at 3 p.m. at George Mason University’s Eagle Bank Arena, 4500 Patriot Circle, Fairfax, Va.
