Career Services Faculty and Staff Engagement Session, May 25

May 9, 2022 / Events

In today’s economy, it’s vital for students to learn how to connect their NOVA education to future career opportunities. Join Career Services for an engagement session to learn how to help your students do just that! The targeted audiences are both academic faculty and student affairs professionals. They will work to help bridge the connection across departments and brainstorm how best to assist students.

Career Services Engagement Session participants will:

  • Learn what Labor Market Intelligence (LMI) is and how the College uses it.
  • Review LMI data for the region and the latest in-demand jobs.
  • Learn how to explain LMI and workforce information to students.
  • Gain an understanding of the tools and resources that NOVA Career Services offers.
  • Acquire knowledge of how to connect NOVA students to careers.

The event will be held on Wednesday, May 25, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Richard J. Ernst Community Cultural Center in the President’s Dining Room on the Annandale campus. Lunch will be provided.
