May 9, 2022 / Tech Notes & Training

Quality Matters (QM) is a non-profit global organization leading quality assurance in online and innovative digital teaching and learning environments. The QM Rubric is a national quality standard for online and hybrid courses with a focus on quality course design and continuous improvement, and NOVA and all VCCS colleges have been using this standard. To help faculty learn more about the QM Rubric, NOVA Online is going to offer Applying the QM Rubric June 7 through 21. It is QM’s flagship workshop on the QM Rubric and its use in designing and reviewing online courses.

This workshop is free for full-time and part-time NOVA faculty through NOVA Online, and it is delivered online asynchronously so that faculty can learn anywhere anytime to complete assignments by the due dates. Upon successful completion of the online workshop, participants will receive a certificate from Quality Matters enhancing their professional knowledge and background in this national standard.

You can register for the workshop at gosignmeup through the Online Teaching link by May 25. Questions or further information, please contact Hong Wang at hwang@nvcc.edu.
