VCU and VT Celebrate Admitted Nighthawks!

May 19, 2022 / Our Nighthawks

The week of May 9, Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and Virginia Tech (VT) celebrated fall 2022 admitted NOVA students in separate events at NOVA’s Annandale Campus.

The VCU event was hosted by VCU Transfer Admissions Counselor, Terrence Jenkins. Admitted students and family mingled with each other as well as with faculty and staff members who traveled to the event from Richmond. They enjoyed getting to know each other and more about their future “Ramily,” through ice breaker activities. They received VCU swag to gear up for the next leg of their academic journey.

The Virginia Tech event was hosted by Admissions Counselor, Jen Tkacz along with several colleagues who attended in person and via Zoom. Admitted NOVA students were able to get to know each other, enjoy refreshments and learn about the enrollment process and campus life at VT. Swag was also given out through participation in a trivia contest.

We appreciate the transfer reps from VCU and VT as well as the hands-on support of Michael Donnelly, AN Transfer Counselor and Jen Nelson, Coordinator of  University Transfer & Initiatives in collaborating to make these celebrations possible.

Congratulations to all our Nighthawks at this tremendously exciting time of year and we wish them well in all their future endeavors!
