Issuing and Closing Alerts in Navigate
The early alert feature in Navigate streamlines the processes for helping connect students with faculty and professional advisors. This feature creates a seamless process for NOVA faculty/staff to alert students that they aren’t doing well in a course and offers resources to help them succeed in their courses and sends positive alerts to students doing well.
NOVA’s early alert tool has two features: one-off alerts and progress-survey alerts. The one-off alert can be used at any time during the semester to provide timely feedback. The progress-survey alerts allow NOVA to remind faculty, before mid-term, to provide feedback so students can improve their performance and the course grade using suggested resources.
