Student Emergency Grants Available for Summer 2022

June 7, 2022 / Our Nighthawks

American Rescue Plan (ARP) Student Emergency Grants are available for the Summer 2022 term. To apply, students may submit the Student Aid Application.

Award amounts range from $425 to $2,400, depending on a student’s level of enrollment and financial need. To potentially qualify for an ARP Student Emergency Grant this summer, students must have completed high school or the equivalent and be enrolled in at least one credit in a program of study at NOVA in summer 2022. ARP Emergency Grants provide financial assistance to current students for emergency costs that arise due to the coronavirus or for any component of NOVA’s cost of attendance, including tuition, food, housing, health care (including mental health care) or childcare.

In addition to applying for ARP Emergency Grants, students are also encouraged to apply for federal student aid by submitting the 2021-2022 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for summer 2022 and by submitting the 2022-2023 FAFSA for the upcoming academic year that begins this fall. Please contact the Financial Aid Office if you have any questions about financial aid, including the ARP Student Emergency Grant Program. You may stop by a campus Financial Aid Office, participate in a live Zoom session with a financial aid representative in the Financial Aid Virtual Lobby or email finaidsupport@nvcc.edu.
