NOVA to Hold Virtual Job Fair to Recruit Adjuncts

NOVA is hiring adjunct faculty!! Do you know someone who would like to share their expertise with our students and make a difference in our community? Encourage them to join our team as an adjunct faculty member!

The NOVA Adjunct Virtual Job Fair is scheduled for Wednesday, June 29 from 12:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.

All campuses of NOVA seek qualified adjunct faculty for in-person and online classes in the following disciplines:

  • Administration of Justice
  • Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
  • Arts
  • Automotive
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Contract Management
  • Computer Science
  • Communication Studies and Theatre
  • Diesel
  • Economics
  • English
  • Engineering
  • Environmental Science
  • Finance
  • Geography
  • German
  • Geographic Information Systems
  • Geology
  • Information Technology
  • Japanese
  • Latin
  • Mathematics
  • Marketing
  • Music
  • Natural Science
  • Philosophy
  • Physics
  • Political Science
  • Psychology
  • Religion
  • Student Development
  • Sociology
  • Welding

For many of these disciplines, a master’s degree in the discipline or a master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline is required. For some disciplines, such as Veterinary Technology, HVAC, Welding, etc., the minimum qualifications may depend on education, industry certifications and/or work experience.

Adjuncts should have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Ability to use technology to enhance instruction
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Demonstrated teaching skills
  • Experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or a commitment to do so as an employee at NOVA
