Dr. Megan Cook Appointed as MEC Dean of Health Sciences

MEC Provost Dr. Shelly Powers announces the appointment of Dr. Megan Cook as the new dean of health sciences effective June 25. Congratulations, Dr. Cook!

Dr. Cook has extensive experience in academia and healthcare. She has committed over ten years of employment at the Medical Education Campus, serving as the founder and program director for the Occupational Therapy Program and, most recently, as the associate dean of health sciences for the past two years. She is experienced in curriculum development, accreditation and budgeting.

Dr. Cook earned a doctorate degree in occupational therapy (OTD) from Virginia Commonwealth University, a master of science degree in occupational therapy and a bachelor of science in health sciences from Misericordia University. Additionally, she currently holds a Virginia license in occupational therapy.
