NOVA’s SACSCOC Accreditation Reaffirmed
I am very pleased to share that at its June 16 meeting, the SACSCOC Board voted to reaffirm Northern Virginia Community College’s accreditation.
This positive result speaks both to the quality of our college and the quality–and dedication–of our amazing faculty and staff. I am grateful to the many, many members of the NOVA community who dedicated their time and energy to this important process over the past years!
As you will recall, after the site visit to NOVA last fall, NOVA was asked to respond to two SACSCOC principles related to full-time faculty numbers (6.1 and 6.2.b.). We immediately took action but were still in the search process for a number of faculty at the time our response to SACSCOC was due. To finalize our response, NOVA is required to submit a monitoring report on 6.2.b. within the next 12 months. Our SACSCOC Liaison, Provost Molly Lynch, will complete this step.

Again, my congratulations to the incredible team who worked so diligently on this process, and my appreciation to all of you for making NOVA shine so boldly and brightly!
