A Recap of the President’s Activities, Week of June 27

Below are a few of the events and activities that President Kress participated in this week.

Monday, June 27

• Weekly Wisdom with President Kress: University Innovation Alliance CEO Bridget Burns and Inside Higher Ed Editor Doug Lederman interviewed Dr. Kress for the Weekly Wisdom podcast. The podcast features quick interviews with college presidents and chancellors designed to distill wisdom and insights from leading during the pandemic in order to inspire and support the everyday leaders throughout institutions.
• Chronicle of Higher Education Interview: Scott Carlson, a senior reporter with the Chronicle of Higher Education, interviewed Dr. Kress for a report about the value employers perceive in modern college education and the changing nature of employees in the workforce. The reporter will continue working on this report over the next month.
• Apprenticeship Training Reception: Ambassador Jacques Pitteloud invited Dr. Kress to attend a discussion and reception in celebration of apprenticeship training in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, and the United States.
