FREE Summer Workshop Series for Incoming BIO141 students

All NOVA Nighthawks wishing to enroll in BIO-141 in fall 2022 should consider this FREE four-day intensive workshop from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Topics include a review of the following:

• Chemistry: atomic structures, bonds, reactions, oxidation and reduction
• Biomolecules: carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids
• Cellular Structures: cellular membranes and components
• Cellular Functions: enzymes, mitosis, meiosis, DNA replication, protein synthesis
• Heredity: monohybrid and dihybrid crosses, sex-linked inheritance and multiple alleles

At the conclusion of this on-line Zoom workshop, students will be prepared to pass the new placement exam required of BIO-141 students. Students who do not pass this exam are encouraged to enroll in BIO-101 or NAS-2.

Students may self-enroll through CANVAS.
