Enjoy This Week’s CommonHealth Weekly Wellnote

July 26, 2022 / HR News/Training

Find Your Best You with Balance: So much to do and so little time. The American anthem for working adults as we often overbook our calendars–at work and at home. It may seem like just another thing to add to your “To Do List,” but taking time for yourself is essential. Whether you are back to the office or still telecommuting, set boundaries on your time and space to allow you to be YOU!

While at work:

  • Set manageable goals for each day and the week.
  • Use your work time efficiently. Break big projects into smaller chunks.
  • Take brief breaks as needed — they help you be at your best!
  • Music can benefit your work as well as you overall, so pump up the jam (headphones help you not break someone else’s groove).

At home:

  • Divide the responsibilities — you should not have to do everything for everyone.
  • Keep time available on your calendar for yourself – even schedule it, if needed. Explore your interests or dive into one that really warms your heart.
  • Ask for and accept support and help when you need it — just chatting with friends or family increases your resiliency — sometimes, a mental health professional is the answer.
  • Treat yourself like your CommonHealth friends suggest — move more, eat well, sleep better, stress less.

You are amazingly you, but you are human. Remember that you don’t have to be the next superhero!
