Financial Stability and Advocacy to Host Two Resource Workshops This Week

As the Financial Stability and Advocacy program continues to meet the everyday needs of our students by getting them connected to helpful resources, they will be hosting two workshops this week. One workshop will provide information on applying for health insurance, and the other will discuss affordable food access. Both workshops will be held virtually, and all are welcome to log on and learn more.

Need health insurance? Please join this fun and interactive virtual workshop that will give information you need to know about healthcare that is right for you. You will learn how to sign up for health insurance and its benefits; finding the right doctor; great tips on living healthy; and more. Healthcare experts will be available to answer your questions.

SNAP WORKSHOP: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
Need assistance buying food? The SNAP program provides help to supplement a family’s food budget so they can purchase food and move towards self-sufficiency. At this virtual workshop, a SNAP representative will speak about the various programs and benefits available, and how to apply.
