Just 14 Days Until NOVA’s Fall 2022 Convocation (Registration Deadline Extended to August 5)

The new academic year is fast approaching, and our annual faculty/staff kick-off event, the 2022 Fall Convocation, is on the horizon. Convocation provides faculty and staff with an infusion of excitement and energy as we enter the new year. Please note the updated registration deadline (August 5).

Tuesday, August 16

• 8:15 a.m.:  On-site check-in opens
• 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.:  Faculty/Staff 2022 Fall Convocation, Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center, Alexandria Campus
  You can attend in person or via livestream.

  Please note:  It is required for faculty to attend Convocation, either in person or virtually. It is optional for adjunct faculty and staff, but all are welcome. NOVA will close all offices from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. on August 16 to make it possible for faculty and staff to attend in person if they would like to. • 12 p.m. until 4 p.m.: New Faculty Orientation (newly hired faculty only)

Wednesday, August 17

• Campus Convocations: Watch for information from your Provost.

Thursday, August 18

• 9 a.m. until 10 a.m.:  Academic Affairs Update (Zoom)
• 10 a.m. until 12 p.m.:  Discipline Group Meetings

This year’s College convocation will be a particularly special event with several guest speakers. We have created a dedicated webpage just for convocation. You can also look for our special “Countdown to Convocation” section here in the Daily Flyer for news and updates. Please register for Convocation by Friday, August 5 at 5 p.m. for us to plan lunch orders.
