Using Your Canvas Gradebook: “I’ve Got an A in Chemistry”! If you want to display a letter grade in the Total column of your Canvas gradebook, simply follow these steps:

Go to Settings in your Course Navigation
Under Course Details, make sure to check “Enable Course Grading Scheme”
View/edit the letter grading scheme by clicking on “Set Grading Scheme”
Select “Update Course Details”
