A Recap of the President’s Activities, Week of August 1

Below are a few of the events and activities that Dr. Kress participated in this week:

Monday, August 1:

• President Kress (along with VP Steve Partridge, Director of Government Affairs Dana Kauffman and CDEIO Dr. Nathan Carter) hosted a meeting with President Abdullah of Virginia State University, President Adams-Gaston of Norfolk State University and a representative from Micron, Dr. Reginal Hick at NOVA’s Regional Center for Workforce Education and Training.
• President Kress attended a Women Who Mean Business Event the evening of August 1

Thursday, August 4:

• Taping of “In Good Company.” The topic for this segment will be, “Access to Lifelong Education: Breaking boundaries through groundbreaking education.” Dr. Kress will discuss how NOVA is helping to break down educational barriers that prevent people from entering the workforce and how we support people in achieving their potential.
