Join the Movement! NOVA’s Healthy Monday Reset Begins in Sept.

Please take less than two minutes and watch this video that will describe an exciting journey facilitated by Dr. Dahlia Henry-Tett, NOVA’s interim chief wellness officer (CWO) and NOVA Recreation and Wellness (“Rec Well”). We invite you to join your NOVA Community for the Monday Campaigns: Move It Monday! Health Journey.

You are free to explore all the Monday Campaigns resources as time and interest allow. But to support your efforts, the Monday Campaigns: Move It Monday! program will be customized to match the focus of our NOVA community. Look for us in the Daily Flyer on Monday mornings (Fridays or Tuesdays if there is a holiday) starting in September. Throughout the semester, there will be a tip sheet and related resources to jump-start your week. 

The Employee Wellbeing collaborators have been meeting and planning for weeks to present what we hope is an exciting and engaging packet of wellness/wellbeing experiences. 

We recommend talking to your doctor about important health measurements and numbers such as blood pressure, cholesterol levels, heart rate and Body Mass Index (BMI). By knowing these measurements, you’ll be able to approach physical activity with a renewed sense of confidence and safety. And your numbers can serve as the baseline from which you can measure and track your progress.

Your CWO wants to hear from you and to provide wellness/wellbeing experiences that suit your preferences. So please take some time to complete the Faculty/ Staff Fitness and Wellness Sessions Interest Form. Thank you so much to those who have already shared your thoughts. Let’s Get Active, NOVA!
