AN Center for Contemplative Practice: Compassion 101–Workshop on Mindful Awareness, Friday at 11 a.m.
Building a compassion-based mindfulness practice that works for you sounds like a wonderful idea, especially now when there are so many challenges, frustrations, distractions, and to be honest, so much suffering and anxiety around us. What if you did have some tools to face all of that? What if you did have a practice that works for you, who you are, as you are, where you are and with what you have?
This may be the best time to start a mindfulness-based compassion practice. These days, we seem short on community and equally short on tools to manage all that’s moving through us from one day to the next. This workshop is an opportunity for you to get started with a group of supporters who are accepting the challenge, together. In this workshop, we’ll talk about what a compassion practice is, what it might look like in your life, what you can expect out of it, and how you can make the most of it. In this workshop, we’ll work together to get you started with everything you need to get your practice underway with a solid foundation, and a new community upon which you can rely.
No experience is necessary! All histories and experiences are welcome!
A vegetarian boxed lunch will be provided to all participants.
